World-class hosts
At Vy Tåg, we believe in creating journeys that make a difference. Every journey is more than just transportation. We always do our best to ensure that you arrive on time. With a smile, a helping hand and genuine commitment, we make every journey an experience.
Offering good hospitality is important to us and it permeates everything we do. For us, you are not just one of many travellers - you are our guest. We want you to feel safe and welcome. And it all starts with our employees. They are the ones who make sure that you as a guest feel taken care of - even before we welcome you on board, during the train journey and after the journey has ended - so we are with you all the way.
Being a good host is not about a job title - it is about how we all act to contribute to a better journey. That is why Vy Tåg are world-class hosts.
It all starts with our employees
For us, it is important that our employees feel good, enjoy themselves and have the conditions to do a good job. Hospitality is about how we act to contribute to a better experience. This includes all staff at Vy and it is a constant work in progress. To help us, we have our hospitality coaches at the forefront, who are our own staff, and together we make the train journey memorable for all our guests, and create added value for society, our clients and partners.
Your safety on board starts with us
Vy has many world-class hosts. From the operations management and customer service center to the train driver's cab and our staff onboard among our guests. Our world-class hosts are everywhere. We want to pay extra attention to that. Here you can read more about some of our fantastic employees. The articles are in Swedish.

The Theory Behind Good Hospitality
What does good hospitality mean? Jan Gunnarsson is the founder of a hospitality philosophy that inspires and encourages us to treat each other with care and compassion. Good hospitality is about creating a sense of security where people feel seen and welcome.
With his long experience in humanitarian activities and education in compassion through Stanford University, Jan defines hospitality as the art of making others feel welcome.
Hospitality is not something you do - it is something you are. Hosts with good hospitality who meet people naturally become their guests.
